My LMP is 13.4.06 .I completed my 35 weeks yesterday. During regular checkup yesterday,the U/S report showed the following ..

EDD by LMP : 18.01.2007
Gestational age by dates : 35.2 weeks

Antenatal scan (Fetal Growth and Wellbeing)

Single Live Fetus in Cephalic Presentation,Fetal Heart activity is normal,Fetal movements present.
Placenta Anterior,Upper Segment,Normal Appearance. No retroplacental clot,Grade-II Maturity.

Biometry :
BPD - 83 mm -- 33.3 weeks
HC - 304 mm - 33.3 weeks
AC - 285 mm - 32.4 weeks
FL - 64 mm - 33 weeks.

Gestational age by USS - 33.1 Weeks
Estimated Fetal Weight - 2.094 kgs

AFI - 9.5 cm (Lower range of normal) - Decreased by 2 cm since last scan.

Anatomy :
Fetal intracranial anatomy,stomach,kidneys and bladder are visualized and appear normal.
Normal fetal movements and breathing pattern.Fetal tone normal.Biophysical Profile 8/8

Impression :
Single Live fetus in cephalic presentation.Fetal
AC is ON 5th centile (Self growth restricted) HC and FL are in normal range.Liquor volume is in
lower range of normal.Fetal activity is normal.Suggesting review after 1 week for AFI & fetal wellbeing.

Now,my Dr says during last scan,the baby's growth was supposed to be 33.1 weeks,But it corresponded to 32.1 weeks only.This time,while it was supposed to be 35.2 weeks,it is now 33.1 week only.Growth has slowed down very much and
since last 2 weeks there has been no change in AC measurement & in last 15 days fetal weight has
increased to just about 230 gms. Also,since last 3 days the fetal movements are a bit sluggish
as compared to earlier.

Hence,she is suggesting me to undergo C-Section in next 12-14 days from today.She says she would
take scan again on 23rd Dec & confirm the date
in which I must get admitted.

Actually I was having Braxton Hicks contractions
from week 31 onwards itself and pre-term labour
symptoms as persistent lower back ache and increase in white discharges.So,I was put on Duvadilan tablets thrice day and was given Betnesol injections (2 doses in a gap of 8 hrs 3+3) on 9th Dec and 16th Dec.

If I stop Duvadilan tablets now,will I have any chance for natural/induced labour ?? Or is
C-Section my only option now (ie) for date around 25th - 28th December ??

I am confused.I really am in need of your valuable opinion whether I need to undergo C-Section this earlier to take the baby out !!!

Anu archie replied. you could talk to your Dr. and see if your Dr. is willing to take chance of induction. If hospital is well prepared to handle emergency C-section then induction might not be a bad option.

I think delivering baby is good idea as baby is not growing as it should, such babies do develop with speed once outside the uterus.
