Ok, then your cut from the description is not clippered haircut. In my case, the top will be very much reduced, the sides and back will be clippered such that no hairs will be visible, only the scalp. Generally the height to which it´ s clippered varies.. In your case , then you have sufficient hairs - not sure why manual clippers is used - there are no settings in manual clippers - if it´ s used it takes away the entire hair - feel free to point out my mistake in understanding. Your brother gets a regular machine cut ?

Since my friends, especially Sampada, Pooja, Anushri and Kavita like the machine cut very much and they pat the \" machined area\" . They enquire where I had the cut and what is the experience like. This happens every time and therefore, no need to to tell them. It is really a feel that I enjoy when manual machine run at the sides and back. I really enjoy the cut. Ocassionally my brother asks the barber to use razor to scrap my short hairs at the neck, at the sides and around the ear.The barber does so after applying a dettol lotion. I enjoy that feeling also.I feel really confident after my machine cut.

nice to know that u love ur style...n the cut...n the processof cutting....when was the last time u got ur haircut?

The back and sides are totally clippered - i.e. no hair at sides and back , scalp is visible, how high it´ s cut at sides and back. Did anyone object to your cut ? and your friends Sampada, etc - did anyone say they also want to get such cut ?

Since I am having my machine cut once in 3 months hair will be sufficiently grown. My brother' s machine cut will be shorter at the top than mine.Like Hema, I too enjoy boys and girls having machine cuts.

Do you also tell your friends that you also had your haircut from a barbershop ? what do they so to that ? How do you feel when manual clippers are run at the sides and back ?

I do go with my brother and actually have the same machine cut. The manual handheld clippers provide a far better experience. I like its musical sound. My barber cuts very nicely and I would have sufficiend hairs at the top for combing my crop.Congrats for having such a cut. Initially, classmates, friends and relatives appreciate indirectly then they would do so openly. For a cute look after machine cut, especially for a boy, he should be clean shaved and this applieds even to a girl. I feel energetic after my machinecut once in three months and would like to do exercises such as cycling and swimming. So please allow sufficient hairs at the top for a crop, and have a gradual taper with some portion at the back and sides having no hair.Ensure that you are clean shaved. Have such a cut once in two or three months to have a contrast. Appreciations would definitely follow.

Also, can someone who got such haircut elaborate the experience of that haircut ? after you enter the shop, what do you tell the barber, how he starts the haircut , using clippers etc.

Give me the courage to get such manual clipper cut - what should I tell the barber and how to handle initial reaction from girls if someone asks why I got such a cut - how did you manage. I am planning to get one such cut this weekend.

are you referring to any lady version of such machine cut ? or is it very much like boys - In boys there won´ t be hair at sides and also high in the back - only at the top some hair will be left.

I have never heard a girl getting machine cut and that too in a barbershop. our society will never accept this - I am surprised, I have seen sometimes a girl in a barbershop mostly to get his brother a machine cut. or Is this common ? I am not sure. So, you have never grown your hair so far ? Most of the times people see you with no hair on sides and back - Your friends accepted you with this cut ?

why do u like to see barber doing machine cut ? Have you shaved your head in the past ?

Thank you for sharing my happiness regarding having machine cut. Along with the cut I also enjoy the scrapping of neck, sides and around the ears by the barber using a straight razor.

It is nice to know that all of you share the liking for \" machine cut\" similar to my own liking. My elder brother who is 17 years of age looks very smart with a machine cut. He has been having the same cut every month since childhood. I always appreciate him for the cut. On my insistence, once in three months we both visit the saloon and have machine cut. I really like cycling after having a smart boyish machine cut.

you say every month your brother gets but you go with him once in 3 months to the saloon ?

It is surprising to note that girls do like such machine cuts. But are you referring to the cut done using clippers where there is still hair at the sides and back ? The one that is referred in this thread is where there will be no hairs at the sides and back, barber operates the manual clippers such that he exposes the scalp at the sides and back and top also reduced very much. When I ask the barber for such a cut in old barbershop, he will ask me not to get that close cut and finally reluctantly will use manual clippers and reduce it. No one has praised me for getting such a cut. Are you sure you are referring to such a cut ? When you say you go to a saloon, is it manual clippers or electric ones ?

I think a ' summer cut' using manual clippers looks real good on boys. I once convinced my 13 year old cousin to get a close machine cut. I accompanied him to the saloon to see the cut :-)
The barber gave my cousin a very short hair cut ! Scalp was visible behind and on the sides near the ears.
