Normal Delivery:episiotomy
2009-01-12
Name: mymum

Whenever i ask my mum about her delivery, the worst part was the episiotomy. She told me that after the delivery as a general process she was given episiotomy towards the anus(i think there are two types) After which somehow the tear extended and passing normal motions was so difficult that she had to sit on the cycle tyre. To make matters worse the stiches got infected. It was a nightmare. I thinks its the lack of awareness amoung patients and maybe lack of patience from the doctors side that causes a routine use of episiotomy.

Dear All,

I'm Dr. Meghna Bharath. I'm a strong proponent of Natural Birthing.

In the run-up to becoming a Mom myself, I prepared for Natural birth and delivered naturally. Recently I encouraged and supported my younger sister and close friends deliver naturally as well [through remote advice, since we were across a 10-hour timezone :)].
