Everyone please pray for me. My inlaws are arriving in two days GC and all! God what is to become of me and my kids?
I cannot go into details just suffice it to say I have had hell before with each visit of theirs.
Everyone knows that them coming here forever spells disaster but looks like all are just hoping for a miracle to happen. They want to have their cake and eat it oo. Considering that this is what my MIL has done all her life she is a master at that game. Its poor me, I just do not know how to play that game. God help me please!

Hi there!

If you are in USA or Canada just call 911 if any ugly scenes happen or any mental harassment or verbal abuse takes place. You are fortunate if you live in these countries there are laws to protect you. Let your husband and inlaws know that they cannot take you for granted and that you can call 911 any time. Never forget you are in control here. This is your house, your family and your country before it is theirs. No one can change that. This is your biggest strength.

Did your husband consult you before sponsoring his parents? If not I think it is high time South Asians in these countries united and asked for a law to be passed whereby no one should be allowed to sponsor their parents unless their spouses appprove of it.
