Unexplained Infertility:My Story

After a long quest with infertility I conceived with donor insemination. But after having the baby I feel extremely hopeless, full of guilt, miss my old life and regret the whole desicion totally. It is always better to have a child naturally or through adoption. I hate my experience totally. I cannot bond with the baby I just dont know what to do???? I feel as if I am slowly dying. Please help.

Anika!
Firstly a big hug to you.
You, sweetie are going thro post-partum depression. This is an illness that requires help and sometimes medication. I truly hope you have or can get some help for the baby. And see a doctor. RIGHT AWAY!
As far as a guilt. This is your baby- you have carried it for 10 months, she/ he is of your body, your flesh and blood. Give yourself time and go easy on yourself. This will pass. You will bond in time with your baby. There is light at the end of this really dark, scary tunnel.
Take it from an experienced mom of two.
There many angels surrounding a new mother and baby, ask them for help and again please see a doctor. I'm praying for you.
With much affection from someone who's been there-
Hema

IVF via Donor Sperm
Hi, we are planning for ivf via donor sperm as we have genetic history wherein my daughter is ASD and mine own brother is ADHD hence genetic counselor said there is risk of 15-20 percent of child being autistic if we use our own gamet. If male child is born the risk is higher than a girl child.

Hence we thought to go for donor sperm. But there is still risk... - SS [View Message]
