Good Gynaec

Hello,

I read many messages in this post and somehow there are maximum discussion on the Gynaec in AirportRoad/Indiranagar area or (JP/Jaya nagar/BTM). May be due to IT Fraternity is there. My Suggestion would be to try Airport road/B' Ghatta road area due to the fact that there Doctors are more proven.
Here goes the list as recommended by many (not in any order)
1. Dr.Praveena Shenoy(Manipal/IndiraNagar)
2. Dr.Hema Diwakar (JP Nagar, Diwakar Speciality Hospital
3. Eliya Prabha(Sagar Apollo, EPMC JP Nagar
4. Rajshekhar Hospital(JP Nagar, dont know the doctor' s name)
5. Dr. Vidya Desai(Manipal/Indira Nagar
6. I think Dr. Achi Ashok in GreenView (HSR) should be Ok. Though I dont have any feedback.
7. Dr. Leela Bhagwan(Sagar Apollo)

Sad experience

I had recd. reference for Dr. Hema Diwakar and went to her hospital. I should tell you that I would never go there again. I have a low lying placenta and she failed to detect it and in fact did not ask me not to travel. I was told to have normal activities and that everything was fine. Later, when consulting with another doctor, I was very surprised when I was advised complete bed rest.
There were other mis-diagnosis too but I think instead of going into the small details, I would rather ask people to think twice before going to her.
Her hospital is also poor in handling patients and they are more concerned with collecting money. I am sure there maybe other folks out here who had a good experience with her. I have a little complicated pregnancy and I will never recommend her.

Choosing a Gynaec

Coming to choosing a Doctor I feel the following points should be taken care.
1. Should spend maximum time per Individual to clarify all the doubts/ questions.
2. Should assess some one personally and not just rely only on 100s of Tests
3. Should prescribe best possible vitamins/ supplements (of Reputed brands)
4. Should be available for anytime on Mobile

I personally had bad exp in Manipal where HoD saw me for few mins after waiting for 1.5 hrs and all her assistants did the job(even BP monitoring should be done by her only bcos more the exp person more authenticity he/she has)

Currently I am consulting Dr. Prabha who is really professional and covers pregnancy from all aspects. Even simplest things in the Pregnancy are most important (like Diet, your sleeping/eating habits, when/ what/ how much vitamins you should take).

Comments/ suggestion from other members are welcome
