Due Date Club August 2003:Sleeping problem
2003-02-28
Name: Charu Choudhary

Hi everyone

Have logged in after nearly a week expecting to see lots of new messages posted ... but seems most of you have been inactive in this period... do write in... it feels good to interact with others who are going thru the same condition.

For the past week, I have been getting up feeling very restless and uneasy atleast 2-3 times every night. Are any of you experiencing any such problem? Also my nose tends to get blocked when I lie down and this makes me more uneasy...

Any suggestions ??

Ciao
Charu

Hi Charu,

Infact I'm also suffering from the same problem right from the start of my pregancy. At this stage i.e in the 4th month onwards one should not lie down straight as the baby gets problem in breathing and hence sometimes you may feel that you are falling short of breath and may need to open your month for the same. Try to sleep by your side and that too left side is the best to sleep. It gives the baby proper room to take breath. Actually blocked nose is a common symptom of preg. and as per my Doctor's advice I'm using nasal drops (Otrivin Paed.) before sleeping. So, no more blocked nose at night and I can sleep well ! :)

Dear Monica

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, of late I have been using Otrivin too. But was concerned that it may not be good on a daily basis for the baby. However checked with the gynae y'day and she said upto twice a day was fine...

Whats your due date ?
