i have baby who is 11 months old and she refuses to stop feeding. actually i know that it is bit early to stop breastfeeding but the problem is that, i have to go out of india in oct. or nov. leaving my baby with my mom.but my mom says that unless and untill she leavs BF she wont stay without you. i dont know what to do because i have tried a lot not to feed her, but everytime i try to divert her attention by playing with her or showing her some interesting things she doent show interest and continues crying till i breastfeed her. i am tired and want to know what to do, and how to solve this problem.

Let your mom try to feed her. As babies are familiar with mother's smell so when in mother's lap, they prefer to get feed form her. So let your husband or your mom try to feed baby. Priya replied. Dear, At the same time I wened my baby. Slowly decrease the feedings. At the time of feeding give something to eat. Give her homo milk or formula. Do it slowly. If you are feeding 3 times in the day time..stop the morning feed and give other milk.continue other feedings for 3 days. and stop the afternoon feeding...like that. I did the same thing.
