Hi all wonderful moms,

I am new to this site .My 4 month old baby boy wnts to stand all the time if we donot let him do he cries for it.I have heard it is not a good idea as this weakens the leg muscles therefore even if he stands for a few minutes I massage his legs.I am a little worried.Do advice.Is there anyont from ontario,Canada.

Who ever told you its not healthy for your child to stand is wrong. If your child is developed enough to hold his legs strong, he can stand. That is advanced development. Buy a walker w/o wheels, just like an exersaucer. Let him stand in it til he dont want to. It builds strength in his legs!

Babies will not do anything that they cant.
I am sure your boy's legs are strong enough for him to stand.

My baby used to insist on standing since he was a couple of months old, Whereas my friends baby did not want to stand until he was 6 months.

So they do what they are comfortable doing.
So dont worry too much

Massages are always good so continue with them.
