I m in my 33rd week and am doing alright.

I visited the Dr on 28/12 (start of 8th month)and he gave me the breast feeding advice. Now he has called me again on 28/01 (when 9th month starts) for the delivery advice. So far my baby movements, BP, sugar, weight gain, etc are normal.

According to him, so far I am doing fine. When I asked him if I should go for a scan, he said \" No\" . I am so curious about the baby' s growth and weight :( .

I have already taken 2 TT injections. Other than the ANC, tripple marker and Taxoplasma test done in 2nd trimister, I have not done any other blood test. Is there any other test required now?

I also have a question about a peculiar feeling I have around belly button. As my belly is growing, some stretch marks are coming around my belly button. Sometimes I get a poking kind of pain from inside on the left side of my belly button. Is it normal? I feel the baby moving and all.

Aunts and all say that sometimes the baby pulls the cord with his hand and it may pain due to that. But I am not sure. Is this something to worry about and I should visit my doctor b4 28th Jan to discuss it ? Asmi replied. Thanks Ladies,

1. every doc has different strategy if he finds ok and u dont u can surely u can voice ur feelings and go ahead with the ultrasound to determine if baby is putting on good weight ..u wont beleive babies can put upto 2kg in the last mnth
2.2 tt injec are fine the third will be given during deliv when u already had a triple test done there ws no need for a separate ANA test done...but its ok...
3. dont b frightened ... by any of my remarks...because after u enter ur 3rd trimister the vsits to doc increases to fortnightly and as u complete ur 36th week it will every week...as certain things will b closely moniter like..babay presentation,droping or engaging of baby,blood and urine culture in every visit,bp ,usg to determine if chord is around neck or not etc...
3.i feel u voice ur feeling to ur doc and the tugging feeling may b that ..or may b due to braxton hicks contraction
4 . also ask ur doc to update u regarding labr etc ..ie what to do when it shows..or teh type of pain u will distinguish if its a real labour or false one... ask him over as soon as u enter 36th week ...because it is said after 36th week its anytime baby time...

Glad to hear that everything is fine with u & your baby. I am not aware of the tests in India. But the streching seems normal....i also feel the same, just try applying some cream as the poking may be due to the skin streching too. Anyway you can discuss with your doctor too.
