Kids & Food:Diet for 5months old

Name: Anuradha Prasanna

Hi,
My baby is just starting on her 6th month.

Apart from Dulac (milk product) i have newly started, \";Gerber Rice Cereal with Apples /Bananas\"; for her.

Can anybody suggest what else i can add in her diet routine like what vegetable or fruit i can give her? Pls also suggest some homemade things apart from the rice cereal iam giving her.

Thanks,
Anu

hi anu,
you can give her ragi malt.procedure:
wash ragi 2 tsp,whole wheat 2tsp,rice 2 tsp, towardal 2tsp pinch of ajwain,pinch of salt,pinch of hing
wash and dry roast all the ingredients and grind them to a fine atta
take a cup of water and let it boil, then add 1 tsp of this atta mix with water and put this in the boiling water and boil for 5 minutes. you can feed her this when it comes to room temp. you can add 1tsp of ghee while feeding her. I gave this for my son formore than 6 mons. this is traditional recipe.

Hi, I am new in this group. My son is just about to finish his 6 month. I have heard about Ragi earlier also. Is this easily available? Could you please suggest me some more recipe as I am very confused about what to give. I am giving him rice and dal only.

Mash rice and dal finely in a mixie and with no spices.Just a pinch of salt will do.
Kindly do not go overboard with a 5 month old child's diet.

So my sister’s child is a very fussy eater. She generally makes veggie cheese rolls or sandwiches to get her to eat her vegetables. She tries to use colourful and pretty veggies to get her to eat. Giving smoothies, fruit salads and milkshakes is another appetizing and attractive method. In fact she even decided to supplement her diet with Immuno Boosters and Brain B... - say [View Message]
