Hi, I am the father of a 15 month old daughter. The problem with my Kid is that she has a very erratic sleeping habit. She can't sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time. She normally sleeps at aroung 11.30 in the night & gets up at around 2 in the night. Then she is awake for around one hour & then after pating her we make her sleep again. Again she get up in may be one one & hald hour & we repeat the same. During the day she sleeps twice for around 1 to 2 hours.

We as parents can't get our night sleep because of this. Please help us out

Hi,
The child needs to be tired to be sleeping thru out the night. Try playing with her specially in the night and make her tire, massage and give hot water bath to her. I know this is time consuming but if it works will save you a sleepless night. If this thing doesn't work ask you Dr. for advising Benadril it is a cough syrup which can make babies sleep but please do it on Dr.'s advise only. You can ask him for Brandy too.

All kids are different so please don't worry, you have delayed her sleeping schedule, when a baby is born try making sleeping and feeding schedules for them, it sound unbeleivable but I am a mother of twins and I know how important it was for me to set their timings. Babies are fast learners and it is easier when they are young. Never change their bathing massage times or wake up times, slowly their body becomes habitual of the schedule and they act like that. I even don't change their times on weekends or holidays too.

Hope it will help......A Mom

Thanks Mom. We do ensure that the baby is tired before sleeping. We take her out for a big walk & play with her before she sleeps. I guess its become her habit to wake at 3.00 am in the morning & then be awake for atleast 1-2 hrs & then go back to sleep. Its really a big pain for us

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
