Hi Archie,
i just wanted to ask u a few questions, i did my anomaly scan on the 13th of this month, im now 21w6days today. The scan showed no structural abnormalities, and placenta was posterior clear of internal os. It also showed that i am having a baby girl!
there was only one measurement which was out of the normal which was Va/H which was 0.220, my consultant was not worried abt this, can u tell me what does that reading show?
Due to the blood pressure problem the sonographer done a Doppler Scan and found that there is bilateral uterine notching with increased resistance. the figures are as follows
L.Uterine Artery PI 2.59 RI 0.91
R.Uterine Artery PI 1.20 RI 0.63
I am currently on methyldopa blood pressure medicine and also on baby aspirin.
they now suggested that i need monthly doppler scans to check if the baby is growing well.
I am a little concerned, and just wanted ur opinion on this, do u know how to improve the problem. My consultant is not overly worried as she said that the baby has developed well and if in the next scan she is still growing normally then things look good. Obviously i need to keep my bp down and if i need to then she will increase my dose.
my consultant also suggested that i should have the baby before my due date of 19/2 she suggests any time after the 29/1 due to the bp problem and does not want to risk the babys health
Thank you for ur time and hope to hear from u soon
B
