I just wanted to know that whether in level 2 U/s
Do they do the doppler (i.e baby's heartbeat) also.
I will be going for U/s on 26 june...Has anyone come to know about the sex of baby??

these days i am feeling my tummy very much streched and little hardening on right side.I can't even bent.I am feeling baby's movement also.
My 18 week is about to finish..

How much weight have u all gained?

The second level u/s is just great! Well since I am having twins, I could see the sex of my babies - I'm having one of each! 1 girl and 1 boy!!!

The hearbeat is through the u/s...It usually sounds like a train going real fast!!!! Mine took more then an hour since the doc checked each baby thoroughly. I heard that this will be done once again when we reach 8 months.

As for wt, I've gained around 14 pounds, but I guess it's ok since my doc did not comment either way...

Oh and yes, I do feel the babies movements now coz I am at week 21, and yes, bending has become a big problem, esp after I eat something! Susan replied. Hi,
U can see the heart beating thru the u/s device (as Reena said). The second level u/s takes about 15-20 mnts as they thoroughly check the growth of baby's each and every part of the body. They will also give u few snaps of the u/s. We found out the sex of the baby. We r having a BOY! I was amazed that we could see between his legs very clearly on the screen and before the nurse could tell, I told her that its a boy, isnt it and she said yes. Now I can start planning to buy blue stuff... The stretching of the tummy is normal, so dont worry. After one-two weeks u will feel strong baby movements. I hv gained around 8 pounds this month which dr. told me is perfect. They also checked the iron level (blood sample) and that was also nice. She told me to continue the diet I am having cause I am progressing very good. So Nikki, expect a lot of tests during ur second level u/s. And all the best. Yes they did doppler also for me in 2nd level u/s.
Sure they can tell u the sex too, but my babies were in a position where the doc cudnt tell clearly.
Yes tummy gets stretched too much and cant bend.. esp after eating. I am getting severe backpain bcos of this stertching and hardening.. I heard it will increase and stertch to the core in the final weeks.. Oh my god.
I have gained 20 pounds I am 23 weeks today. I know its a little big more but with twins I think its ok.

Besides other things, in a level 2 u/s they see the baby's hearbeat with the u/s device and not the doppler. Infact my doc even made me see the heart pumping. It was quite awesome. I'm from Delhi and as you might know that here it is illegal to check the sex of the child. And since this is our 1st baby, we are not keen to know the sex anyways. I'm in the 22nd week now and baby's movements are more pronounced by this time. I must have gained abt 12 lbs by now. Docs visit is overdue by 2 weeks now thus not very sure.
