It is difficult to say for sure if your wife was really a virgin or not before you had intercourse with her.

Most of the times, the hymen ruptures, it does bleed, however, in rare, very rare situations, the hymen is barely there and it does not bleed...

Now, about the pain issue...
even if there isn't blood, there will probably be a little discomfort the first time, as a matter of fact, the first 5,6 or 7 times...at least, that was the case with me.

Every girl is different, some may be more tolerant of pain, also, if there is adequate lubrication, maybe the pain is not much.

For me, my sex drive did not come until months many months after getting married, I was dry a lot before that, that is why I had pain, I guess. I was also apprehensive, I was afraid of the pain even though my husband was gentle with me.
