Due Date Club January 2007:Coping with anxiety
2006-12-03
Name: Yama Singh

Hi All,

Now most of us are almost there. My doctor as told me that he is seeing initial signs of placental degeneration. So he will induce labor around 18th Dec. Due to health reasons, I will not be getting any epidural and will have to go for natural birth. The very thought is giving me sleepless nights. How i wish I could keep the baby longer in me. I am scared of everything starting from labor.

Does anyone have any tips on what can one do to keep mind away from all this? With every passing day it seems that my worries are increasing. Anyone else with the same feeling??

All the best to all. I hope God gives each one of us a lot of strength and courage.

Cheers
Yama

Hi Yama
Your anxiety is normal. I have read some books that help prepare a mother-to-be mental preparation for labout. Have found articles on babycenter(dot)com quite useful. Also - \" What to expect when you are expecting\" is also a great book. Hope this helps.

Warm wishes and prayers
