Waiting to try:Need some help on some doubts abt pregnancy
2006-10-30
Name: Anu Shoj

Hi,
V got married in the year 2003 and now planning to have a kid. I had an abortion in 2004 september, cos v didn't want to go for a child. My husband is dark and people around me say that after i get pregnant i need to drink milk three times a day and should add Saffron in it so that the baby born will be fair. Is it true ? Consuming saffron gives any other gud results ? Please clear this doubt. Please let me know whether this is the right time for pregnancy ?

well Anu i had the same issue when i was pregnant. I am kinda dark and my husband is fair. I wished that my baby takes on my hubby's color, but i was not too bothered anyways as I was sure that skin color is genetically determined.

well for saffron and milk, i have heard saffron purifies blood. But having it in excess generated excess body heat, thats the reason its taken with milk. Just add two strands of saffron to your milk. You can drink milk three times a day which will definitely help u with your calcium intake..but add saffron only one time.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Neha. Skin colour is determined solely by genetics. Brown skin is beautiful. I am white (an Australian) and every year thousands of Australians die from skin cancers they got from lying in the sun, getting a tan. We are killing ourselves to be the same colour you are. Don't you see the irony of that?

Good luck to you.

hi,
there is nothing other than parents colours{or genes} which can influence a childs complexion. who ever said fair is beautiful should look at weak and unhealthy fair children.
look for ward to a healthy child, which you will be blessed with, thats all.
go for a pre conceptional visit, start on prenatal vitamins, eat nutritious foods get in to a healthy state of mind as well as body.
all the best to you.
neha.
