Hi all,

I am new to this board.
I am recently married.

We r planning for child may be after 6 months.

From the day one of my maturity i have irregular periods. i checked with gyno, they said i have poly cyst ovary. but that it is normal.

but, after marriage sometimes i used have continues non stop periods. i consulted the doctor, they scanned and said the same. (Poly cyst) but no worries.

but i am worried, b'cos will this affect anyways in conceiving or during pregnanacy or delivery. If anybody have the same exp kindly share with me and advice me on this to preceed further.

Hi Rekha,

I too have PCOS. I got this irregular/no period 1 yr after delivery of my baby. I am under treatment for it now. Am taking a medicine which is normally prescribed for Type II diabetes. I dont know if you are aware that PCOS is common in a diabetic family. This paticular medicine not only helps in regulating PCOS but also helps in ovulating. So you can discuss about this with your OB/GYN. I want to plan for my second baby sometime soon. When i told my doc abt this she told me that i can even start right away because this medicine helps in ovulation which in turn can help with getting pregnant.

Hope this helps. Dont worry at all everything will work out fine, just relax and have faith.
