hi archie & all,
we are planning to conceive from this month.so i've got clear blue OPK which has 7 sticks.my periods are regular but varies from 26-28 days.so i'm really confused as to when to start testing.so i have few queries to u all
1. seeing my period cycle can u suggest from which day i should start testing?
2.i have read in this message boards that we should test between noon & 3pm.i wanted to know when should we takeor how many hours before we take solid food & liquids before testing?
3.shouldn't we pass urine 4 hrs before testing?
plz reply .its very urgent.thank u all

Hi Priyanka,

I'd suggest go by your shortest cycle (26 days), so start testing on Day 10 of your cycle. I don't think it matters what or when you eat, but Archie may say otherwise. I think the idea is that we don't use first morning urine to test with, as the LH hormone (which is present at all times in our urine) will be concentrated and may give you a false positive. So you need to use 'fresh urine'. The brand that I use suggests that testing is Ok anytime between 10 am and 8pm, as long as you test at the same time every day (i.e. 24 hours between each daily test).
