Neha,
no don't take any medicines just like that. Talk to ur doctor if u feel strongly about it. go to a reproductive endocronologist RE instead of a regular OBGYN.

I have had 3 mcs in 9 months and then started seeing a RE. I took a 6 month break from TTC and am now TTCing again. Did all sorts of tests, blood tests, ultrasounds etc. My RE found that i have low blood supply to the uterus and so is treating me now.
This time my RE is checking my progesterone levels after ovualtion and is also prescribing progesterone 3 times a day. I will start taking it from monday 7 DPO.
hope this helps you. GL. Find a good RE and get ckecked for everything before TTCing again.

hi,
wish i had asked this earlier. will ask my doc if i should see RE.
my hubby doesnt want a baby now, he says i am getting weaker because of these miscarraiges. it is only on my insistence that he has given me this last chance.
i have heard that taking progesterone helps you have a smarter baby.
my BBT after ovulation shows marked ups and downs.
i have regular 28/29 day cycles.
as you must have read in my earlier messages i have had 2 miscarraiges.
both the times i was on progesterone. this makes my doc think that i dont have a progesterone deficiency.
i am starting TTC from nov.
i have done numerous tests:
tests came out positive for TB of fallopian tubes, clotting factor and uterine adhesions.
i have finised TB med. had uterine adhesions removed and will be taking baby aspirin for the clotting problem.
along with this i wanted to also take progesterone.
anyway thanks all for your answers. i will talk about this again to my doc and get levels checked.
hopingfor tejas dec is not very far away!
best wishes simba
thanks again,
neha

neha ,

as i had mentioned earlier, monitoring of ur hormones is important for a successful pregnancy, even if u self prescribe progesterone, how will u know how much to take ?? what if ur body needs more /ur body needs less ??

if u feel so strongly that having progesterone will help u, go with ur instincts, discuss it with ur doctor ...she should listen to you ... if she is vehemently against it, then do consider changing ur doctor as the doc should value ur opinions and console u, not just stick with her way of treating u ....

and even if she is against supplements, doing a chekc on ur levels is not going to do anyone any harm ...

take care and good luck,
-P
