Dear Friends This is Keerthi from Vijayawada. I am doing my Btech in prestegeus college. Just two days back my mom told to me our family members will be go to Thirupathi for her vow. First i think that she offer some money or Dharshan. Yester day my mom said to my sister and myself both will be Tonsured at Tirupathi. My sister she is Doing her MBBS at Delhi. I feel very much Tenssion about that kindly advise. And my mother not convense by us.

Dear Keerthi, i can understand the pain of a young girl with shaven head. Since i experienced the same on Friday. I know it is a vow, but i was forced to do that by applying many brutal actions on me. Here is ur mother who took a vow. Just satisfy her. Go to Tirumala, pray for god and offer ur hair. Shave it dead smooth otherwise it will be very rough ad pains a lot. go for a second shave. I can understand that it is quiet embarrassing but there is no option .u can wear a scarf. here i am unlucky, my mil is not allowing me to wear a scarf.

Yes I was faced similer sitution I am frm Bengal here mostly girls after marriage sport nose pin on left nose . But in my case my in laws family´ s Guruji orderd my MIL to decorate me with all traditional ornaments . So my MIL arrange to pierce my nose in three places and extended my ear lobe hole to one inch and also add three pair of holes in my upper ,side year. the piercings are very painful as my nose piercing done in the following ways. The two sides of the nose are pressed together to the centre. A long needle is pierced from one side through the centre and out the other side. So all the three holes are on a straight line. It is very very painful especially when the needle goes through the centre part. Also, they normally use a thicker needle than just for a simple nose ring.
But I was not tonsure.
I do not know how is your expirance. and how you join your work.
Pls share your that day experince. afteral the woman has to face it .
