Are you moms getting any shots for yourself or for baby before going to India? My daughter is 9 months old. What shots needs to be taken?

What other thing you have to be careful in India? Which water do u give for baby? If needed do you give indian medicine or US medicine for baby?

Do all babies fall sick in India? What precautions I need to take while letting others handle my baby?

What all things I need to pack for baby?

For shots I am not really sure, do ask ur ped on the 9 month visit (just to be on safe side) so he/she can tell u, take ur immunization records thing to india, so u can show it to dr there.

I would take infant tylenol, pediasure (powder packets or liquilytes packets). Rest they should have infant medications in india (for cold cough etc). If you are formula feeding, just take cans of formula (larger sizes available at sams). Baby safety kit (includes thermometer, etc), ur bottles, infant cereal (cerelac) is available there. Because of mosquitoes (since its still monsoon there), there is good night or other mosquito repellant mats available there, so its okay. You can have machardani for shalika there to be on safe side (i got malaria there when i went to india at this time). Take off spray for urself, I always need that.

Since the environment changes so babies, so they can fall sick easily. Give only bottled water to the baby or filtered and boiled water. I'll be going to india, when krishna gets a year old, can't wait to go there.

Most of the things we have discussed in the past. Pl. check previous posts. Regarding medicine ask your pediatrician. Acc. to me there is no problem in giving them.
