It was real comforting to read your long mssg,thnks for taking the time.I was really having a lot of discomfort all these dys until yesterday when my Ob advised me to go to my PCP,who gave me some nebuliser therapy to open up my airways&then put me on penicillin to prevent secondary infection.It is a little bugging to take so many pills but finally last nite i did feel the change the cough was definitely lesser&i slept better than i had in recent dys.
I have gained 7lbs since the start of my pregnancy,so iam in the normal range!I have my ob visit this week,so will keep u posted.So how long was your sonogram,bcos u mentioned having a video so cute did u request for it?Did u get to know your baby sex?

Radhika replied. Hi...sorry to hear about ur cough..read online to inhale steam but didn't do it myself, don't worry too much. I am sure u will be fine with the treatment now.
Generally immune system is weaker during pregnancy, so takes longer to heal. Just relax..and don't think about it too much..they say baby is unaware of all ur pain and prob..so maybe he/she is just having fun there protected in the uterus.
Ultrasound lasted around 15-20 min..they first checked all measurements of baby, uterus, etc. then she put in our videotape so we could have a recording ,so actual recording was done only for 4 mins..asked us to keep the tape fwded to that point in case there is another ultrasound she said she would record on the same casette for us. DOn't know if there is supposed to be one later.
I didn't know we got video rec. they told us to get a tape when we got the ultrasound appointment, some places do give i think, not sure of all clinics..we got the tape, they recorded and gave a few print outs (not so clear but can make out the outline of baby)
WE didn't ask for the sex of the child. Ultrasound nurse said was difficult anyway since the baby was sleeping on tummy and moving around.
Have u had ur ultrasound already..?i was thinking i had everything done late with so many people posting about their ultrasound details. funny thing was they asked us to drink 2-3 glasses of water..so when i went for u/s i told her ok i can hold my bladder in for maybe 30 mins..because i felt i could go now and relieve myself..she asked me to go be relaxed,which i was grateful for...wondered why we had to drink water..anyway forgot to ask after we saw the baby. maybe will ask her next time i see her.
Take care and rest. Don't get stressed out worrying as it is if immune system is weaker, stress will add more time to heal ur cold..
Just watch some comedy shows/movies,they are showing hindi movies on TCM channel on cable this whole month so relax sipping hot drinks ad watching TV (and maybe husband can cook in the meantime.hee!)..
