Health Concerns:Question for Archie pls. answer
2005-05-24
Name: a

Hi Archie,

The other day I went to a cousin's place and climbed the stairs in their home about 3-4 times when I had a sharp pain on the pubic bone right at the top on the left side.. Is that something to worry about? Also, in the morning before my daily bowel movements I have pain in the abdomen area when I know that it is time to go to the washroom. Is that normal? The pain subsides as soon as I finish with my morning chores.
Thanks

Hi, Elders say we have to take up less physical acivitites in pregnancy but climbing a few steps should not be a problem. just rest if you feel uneasy. avoid constipation so have heaps of fibre which is in salad and drink loads of water will will ease your bowel movement and will not cause pain.

Hi A
Without knowing your gestation it's always difficult to tell if this is normal or not.
If you are in third triemster or towards the end of second trimester then all isnormal.
