Due Date Club July 2005:Potty training update

Hi all,
I am putting savir in royal potty seat on and off. Sometimes he does on that, sometimes he doesn't want to do. Today when I put him in the seat he was not at all ready to do. He just want to play, finally he wants to get up and started crying for that. Then like Sheetal, I put the seat on our commode. But before that only he did on his diaper. That is fine. He didn't want to sit but I was distracting him. He did no.1 there. Just thought of sharing with you all. Thanks Sheetal for giving the idea of putting the potty seat on our commode.

Hi Sudha,

I am glad the potty seat on commode worked, atleast a bit. Its working for Anushka too. She wont'do it every time, but atleast she is getting the idea wat she is supposed to do. When i ask her, where do u do ur poopoo, she points out to the bathroom and shows the seat. I make it a point to put her on that seat atleast twice a day.

Will keep updating.

Regds,
Sheetal

hi Smile and Sheetal,
I am glad to hear that potty training is working for you guys.. In my case, Nikku just doesnt poop on the potty seat.. I too have a potty seat which we can put on the commode. She is showing all the signs, like pointing to the diaper before she is getting a poop, and wanting to get the diaper changed immediately after having it. But whenever she gets a poop and I put her on the potty seat, she stops doing poop, and gets tensed.. I tried playing with her toys, reading books etc, but then she starts playing and forgets that she has to do potty.. I think maybe since she always did potty standing, she finds it uncomfortable. I had tried this some months back and the same thing had happened.. Any ideas on what I could do?
take care,
Bhairavi.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

HI Gayathri,

I used the puzzles, the wooden blocks for alphabets and numbers.... - Sheetal [View Message]
try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
