Due Date Club July 2005:my potty seat update

I seem to be obsessed with this topic. Anyways, this is wat we've done so far.

I think the potty chair is completely useless, coz the babies can easily just get up and start walking. I put the potty seat on the commode and made her sit. She liked it up there. She culdn't just walk away. I gave her a puzzle to play with and it worked, she stayed on it for 10 mins.

Yday, while she was in the tub, she made her poopoo face and my husband immediately picked her up and put her on the commode. She got tensed initially and wuldn't do anything. But I got her her puzzle game, she relaxed, adn while she played, she pooped straight in the commode. HALLELUJAH!!!! We were so happy. Obviously, this just was a fluke. But atleast something. I'll keep trying this now. She still doesnt really understand when she has to go, but just want her to get used to the idea of sittin on the commode.
Its definitely going to be a long time with the diapers yet.

Regds,
Sheetal

Hi Sheetal,
Thats wonderful!!! Something great to start with. I will also try with Savir. He sits in the potty seat, as u said only for couple of minutes, after that he just walks away. I am going to try putting it in the commode and see if it works. Thanks for sharing your update on potty training. I know its gonna be a long time but ya we can keep trying. Good luck and love to Anushka.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

I used the puzzles, the wooden blocks for alphabets and numbers.... - Sheetal [View Message]
try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
