Hi girls...Not feeling too upbeat these days. Tired despite doing nothing, a little sulky and blue and generally just not myself. Maybe its the snow outside or the hormones inside !!
Add to that, the doctor just ordered a repeat of my GTT as she is suspecting Gestational Diabetes. (I was quite stumped to hear it since I am so cautious about my sugar, fat and refined carb intake - Guess there is little one can do about their genes - my dad is diabetic.) Anyways I shall know the final verdict in another 2 days and will have to take it from there. Up for anything as long as my little baby turns out fine. But that little one too gave me a big scare. Decided to be a good baby and refused to kick his mommy for almost a whole day. Finally went to the hospital and was relived to see all is fine but gosh what a scare!

Well let me tell you my GTT story. I failed the 1 hr test miserably. My levels were really high and i was sent for the 3 hr test. I was so devastated by that ,i just broke down. but thanks to my husband , who is amazingly optimistic and calm i realized that even if i had Gestational diabetes, its not the end of the world. It would just mean that i would have to eat healthy and take extra care of myself and the baby, which will only help the baby more. so i took it positively and went for the 3 hr test. My doc told me most women pass the 3 hr test so she didnt expect otherwise.That exactly what happened and my levels were normal. But i still dont take it for granted and eat wisely, switch to whole wheat where possible, try to have an early dinner and eat small frequent meals.Believe me i feel better than before after i started following a routine.

so dont worry , you may even pass the GTT .

Glad to hear from you. Just hang on there for some more time....just few weeks. It will be all worth it !!!Sorry to hear abt repeat GTT. Hope you get your values in normal range. Do not worry, everything will be fine.
