Hi all, what remedy do u all take for insect bite?? Yday we went for walking outside, after we returned home i noticed her that something bite her leg on three spots. Later it was lil bit swallon and itchy too. I applied coconut oil twice yday. The swalling has reduced a bit now but she feels itchy when something touches that area even her dress.
Can u suggest me any remedy or any cream to have handy in these situations.

Dylan had a mosquito bite and it was swollen and itchy. i used a wash chloth and rinsed with very cold water and applies on sting just wrapped around for few hours this helped the sweeling and itchyness.you could even oput the chloth in freezer to make really cold before applying.

sheeja,
hope she recovers well.
since we dont know what was the insect that caused this sting,,its better to check with dr before applying ne presc medication.
there is one remedy i know of, i tried it on nirja when we were out camping and she got 2 bites on her leg,,,playing in bushes...see if it works for trisha...
1tsp lavender oil(pure), 1tsp vegetable oil,,mix both..clean the area of sting or wound pref with a good antiseptic lotion or alcohol wipes,,,and thn apply the mix, directly on sting..this is only for the stings that cause swelling and bad itching..otherwise please dont use it..lavender stops itching and also reduces swellings...

the best thing to do is,let your dr see it,,even before you try this remedy because each body doesnt respond to all remedies in effective way,,,responses to ne remedy is diff with respect to each child...
hope this helps...

I use \" gold bond\" . I think hydrocortizone might also work.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
