Hi,i think we haven't met before!how far into your pregnancy r u?iam in my 20th wk&it's been a wk with this irritating throat&bad cough.Thnks alot for the home remedies i looked at the site too&have been on ginger,honey&lime the entire day.Gives me some relief for a while.
The cough sometimes makes me throw up,hope it goes away soon.I have my appt next wk anxious to know if i have gained any wt!still waiting for my baby to move&announce his/her presence.

HOpe u are feeling better...don't worry about the cough...generally when u will consult the doc he will ask u to tae robuttissin (DM). I did for a few days once a day though they told me to take every 4 hours. I didn't sleep for 3 days, slept sitting on the couch because when i used to lie down, my cough would increase was too scared then, my nurse and doc found everything i said very funny, so i don't worry as much..babies are very safe in there. its the moms u suffer. Just have honey as a syrup if u have irritation even if u don't want to have the hot drink.I had halls which prevented my cough or had lifesavers (hard candy), anything to supress cough. Doc said halls were harmless.had all hot liquids - soup, water, soup helped i would take normal campbells tomato soup, put in all vegetables and boil it...still continuing just becoz u feel ok have had some diff veg for the day.
(before u think this is a lonnng reply... this is my weakness if i start chatting i never stop provided i have time off work.)
If u have increased 5-10 pounds till now its ok..don't worry. if u are throwing up, wt will go down but u will be fine in the coming months.
I felt the baby from 16th week, though my husband (praveen) cannot feel it yet. Had u/s on friday which was fun, baby was hopping all over, touching the knee, sucking the thumb, sleeping on tummy...seen the video somany times, still is fascinating to think something like this could be created inside....and believe more in God's hand in everything in our life.
I live in indiana. Small city called columbus. Nice country folks here, very helpful. has one hospital, many small clinics though. Originally from Pune, though and still miss home, though both my parents are no more, but still love my place...
