Dear Archie

Im really happy to tell you that my HPT came +ive yday.My periods was due last Thursday/Friday but still didnt get till Monay morning.I wanted to wait this whole week before I took the test but curiosity got the better of me.I tried last evening and got a pink line that was slightly paler than the reference line.You know something Archie,this came a real real surprise to me.Coz hubby was away for most of the days and we tried only one day on my CD11(I have 25-26 day cycle)do you think I would have ovulated around that date?And I didnt keep my legs raised as I used to do and used the restroom almost immediately!!!
Archie ,now I have a few concerns -as I wasnt expecting pregnancy this cycle I was'nt taking real caution in the luteal phase.We had gone out on vacation and I did parasailing ,jetskii and such stuff ..And we had regular intercourse until I found out last evening.I never noticed any implantation bleeding,are all these OK?
Also I have a low back pain and have a feeling that Im going to get my periods anytime.
Im a bit concerned about these things....

Congratulations to you and your spouse! You proved notion that not taking stress and taking life easy is the key to hit success while ttc. I hope many other anxious couple can learn this lesson from your post.

True that lifting hips help but when on right time you don't need all these things, it just works perfectly. Besides I am certain that your spouse had no clue of having intercourse and expecting any positive outcome as he was going away for some time. He may have been involved just to enjoy intimacy and not for the sake of baby. This meant he was in best of his emotional and hormonal stage (male hormonal balance was perfect).

On the other hand you were not counting on this cycle so you did not care to avoid restroom trip after intercourse or did not bother to lift hips as you thought you may not be ovulating. This again means you were completely balance at mind and hormones.

You two in perfect shape and CD11 for 26 days cycle can be just a time of ovulation. I think it may also have been just before or after ovulation. Since the egg suvives in fallopian tube for 12 hours your intercourse before or within 12 hours from ovulation and fully accessible cervix had to let sperm flow happily.

About your concerns: Believe me they are lesslike by affecting your pregnancy outcome and most likely all is going to be fine with you. Still I want you to avoid physical stress until establishing pregnancy may be next 2-3 weeks until you hear fetal heart.

since you did not find spotting or discomfort you may continue with intercourse, however you can choose to avoid it until you get advice of your OB in this regard.

What a coincidence, just on March 2007 board I wrote a message on dos and dont, also you can scroll down my message to Suba, but it will take your sweet time although the message on March 2007 might be little different as it's not copied from what I wrote to Suba earlier (about 2 years ago).
