Hi everyone..

I am new to this forum..

Can anybody tell me what is the cost of drugs for one IVF cycle. I am 31 yrs old and planning to go for IVF. I just want to know cost so that we can plan our financials.

Sorry, i cant answer on the exact cost of the medication as i have had IUI sessions and the doctor explained to me that the procedure before the retrieval would be the same. The whole IVF procedure would cost b/t 80-1,50 lkh approx.

Are you from Bangalore? which doctor are you consulting?

Hi Bhumi,
The doctors may prescribe injections for ovulation so that they may find a good number of eggs for retrieval. The cost of injection varies from company to company. Tablets for ovulation from day 2 for 5 days (Fertyl Rs 60 for 5, Letrozole Rs 250 for 5) Persinol injections 1000UI will cost Rs 1200, Doctors may prescribe 3 to 6 injections alternate days from day 5. HCG injection Ovidrell will cost Rs 900 for one injection to cause the egg to rupture. Later they might prescribe Progesterone suppositories Rs 250 for 10 tablets. You might want to consider scanning cost as well Rs 250 for transviginal ultrasound scan. Hope this info helps.

No I have no IUI as I am suffering from Endometriosis and had a laproscopy 2 yrs back. So now I have to opt only IVF. no other option or rather time. I heard IVF injection cost varies from 50000 to 70000 so just want to know from person who had previous recent IVF.
