You replied on 28th May that your husband is is just worried on what would others say. Since you want him to have short hair you can assure him that such comments would be there anyway after a change in appearance and one should not worry too much about such things. If he is not comfortable with bald sides and back, he can get short back and sides (scissored to about quarter inch) and suitable top hair (about one to one and half inches long). This will be long enough to comb and still short for easy maintenance. I suggest to your husband to get going and get a short haircut at the earliest.
You can keep me posted after he gets such a cut.
Anyway rest assured that I am a fan of crew cut on males (i.e. sides and back clipped bald and very short hair on top - about half to three fourth inch - short enough to need no combing). From the earlier thread you have mentioned that your husband gets this machine cut every 4 weeks. Is that correct ? From the haircut that my husband got, it seems it would take good 2 months for him to go for next haircut - is it that your husband likes to keep it bald at sides and back always and you also want him to be that way ? Thanks for your reply. My husband got his haircut last week which was not planned at all. Last saturday we had to go out in the morning and while we were returning he was asking me he is planning to get his haircut. I told him , yes we can go to the parlour now. He said he doesn' t want to go to parlour as he will go with a shorter haircut that I want and would go to a barbershop. I told him that it' s fine and he could get his haircut and come. He asked me to join if it' s possible. I couldn' t say yes or no but I thought may be if no one is around, I will wait for him in the shop to get his cut done. He then stepped inside one of the barbershop that' s closer to our place. Since it was noon time no one was there. We went inside and he asked the barber to give him a good summer haircut. The barber caped him and started to remove the bulk of his hair. I was there just watching him get his haircut. After several snips, finally the bulk got removed. The barber told he will use machine on the back and sides to reduce further to which my husband surprisingly said ok. May be the heat was unbearable for him. The barber took the device, bent his head, started running at the back. His scalp started showing now , gradually he ran it entirely on his back and the scalp became visible. He did the same for the sides cutting it very short. He then used his scissors , reduced the top to match it. I guess my husband felt much relieved once the cut was over. I could see a new man. He had no hairs at the sides and back and top got reduced when it was over. After he returned home, when I touched his head, it was so great at the back and sides.
