Hi,
I had taken my wife to the hospital yesterday for an ultra sound test. After the
test the doctor told us that there is no sign of any foetus pearl yet.My wife is 6 weeks and 2days pregnant. We are
not sure what could be the problem.I have read on the net that it takes around 7 weeks for the foetus pearl to show
the signs of growth. But today when we went to the doctor the doctor said that it should show some sign by this time.I hope everything is fine. Can you please give some advice regarding this ?

hi
i had a ultrasound when i was 8 weeks pregnant and we couldnot find any sign for foetus and so the doctor gave me some harmone injetion and tablets to regulate my period.
Even then i didnt get my periods and visited the doctor again after 10 weeks, she doubted and asked to take ultrasound again
Then she found a live foetus and said it may be a late conceive
But after a month i had a miscarriage

So wait for few more days, atleast 4 weeks and have a ultrasound again and then decide accordingly

Hi Joy
Its only in 10 weeks that you can see anything like a baby. Even then u cant make out a head or body. So better be patient and wait until 11-12 weeks and get another scan done to get the best pic of your baby.

Its best to deal with pregnancy as a natural procedure rather than considering it a medical situation. Avoid any medication or tests unless your wife feels any problem. Wish you both a healthy baby :)
