Hope all of u r doing well.I've been down with a throat infection, getting slightly better now.
But as a result my appetite has gone down.
I just read all your mssgs. The immig sites Anu mentioned are really worth looking at.My parents are still in the process of obtaining their passports.
Abt stuff Bhargavi from india,i was wondering Sambrani is a lovely thing for the baby but how do u plan to burn it here?i know we get charcoal in american stores but in wht r u going to burn the coal?
Some ideas i have are for massage:olive oil is very good,in fact people take it from here for babies in india.
The bathpwdr called sunnipindi[in telugu]is something i plan to get too for oil bath dys.
I also plan to get baby simple clothes for daily wear for the first 3 mths when they outgrow their clothes soon.Just to save on expensive baby garments here.
Then at 6 mths age when we can start solid foods, there is a porridge they make out of ragi&4other dals+grains.i plan to ask mom to make this pwdr&bring.
If i get any more ideas will let u'll know.
Bhargavi howz your backache doing?i guess the twins r getting fatter so cauzing mom aches&pains.Did u read my mssg abt doing stretches,i feel good doing them.ALL OF U DROP A LINE ON YOUR STATUS!

I don't know if this help u...but u get sambrani sticks in india in most of the agarbatti stores..which i have been using quite often here in US.. all we did was got a small 2 inch copper/earthern (cute little small pots miniatures )u get and put in that so the ash falls in the pot and does not mess ur carpet. our smoke detector has not detected sambrani smoke becoz a stick does not smoke a lot..but does spread the smell around (which i think is safe anyway for a baby)..just be careful and keep it away from smoke detector......think coal will smoke the home here and smoke detector will be on.. hope it helps u and u find the sambrani sticks ..i can give u the name of the sambrani sticks product ...later, not able to recollect now..
As for u throat infection, i had it last month, i was scared i would have fever, and sat for 2 days having hot water with lemon and honey, hot jeera water, ginger lemon honey drink...every home remedy..it did go in 2-3 days which was a relief..and there was no temperature increase..if u go to siliconvalleyguru(.)com u will find home remedies..Don't worry u will be fine, doctor and nurse laughed a lot when i asked if i sneezed or had a cough if the baby's position would shift or affect baby, they asked me not to worry and just relax..take care though..hope u get better soon..like to read ur both discussions...forum seems to have got u two close...it just feels good when we are away from home, there are still others to help each other..hope u all do well and have a nice pregnancy period..

Nice to hear that it wont affect the baby.
Take care

Hi Manvi
Nice to hear from u.
My back ache is ok. It kind of comes on and off. I bought a maternity back belt I wear it when we go out on weekends. Also I changed my slippers to be absolute flats and am lying in bed for 2-3 hrs in afternoon. And a hot water shower on back... All this makes me feel better. I am jus walking shld do sterches.
I didnt think too much abt how to use Sambrani... I jus thot it will be nice for baby. It hardly costs anything, I will try to see if I can use here, if not jus take it easy.
Yes we too have bath powder and kanji powder(porridge) that my mom will get.
And then dresses and some simple toys thats abt it I have thot for now.
And then in our tradition they put bangles and ring like a bangle in the toe too for both boys and girls. I am thinking if either one is girl I will surely put it for her. It looks so damn cute. Twins are growing I guess, I can feel them a lot these dys, 2 separate babies I feel sometimes. Still waiting to feel real kicks, and waiting to see them in my next u/s visit in 2 weeks
