Due Date Club May 2007:painful movements

Hi

I am in the 32nd week, and in the past couple of weeks, have been experiencing sudden intense pains when the baby moves. These pains come only during the baby movements and they are so intense that I am almost jumping out of my seat. But it is momentary and then it subsides. Also it is not happening every single time baby moves... but is happening quite often... to the extent that I have stayed away from driving in the past two days. I did feel them during my first pregnancy but only once in the 7th month. And this time around, it is happening so frequently. Has anyone experienced these sudden pains in the lower abdomen (during baby movements)? Just curious.

Hi STM

Im from the Mar board and delivered recently. I had these painful movements with my LO.Until my 30th week it was full of kicks but after 30 weeks ,it was movements and squirming ,sometimes they were too painful that I stand up immediately and let out a small scream.
So you are not alone. But now I sure miss all those now ,but enjoy looking at my daughter doing acrobatics outside !!!

..and you are very right about missing the baby movements after the delivery. How I had missed them too after I delivered my first one. As much as the arrival of the baby is much awaited, you simply can not ignore the fact that the baby and its kicks are no longer inside you, and so this time I am trying to live these moments more consciously, enjoying and absorbing the experience as much as I can.

That said... keep counting the weeks and the days too.. to see this little baby bundle inside me.

Take care and enjoy the motherhood!

Hello, thanks for your inputs. I did check with my OB and she said that the baby must be hitting a sensitive nerve. But did get worried if these were signs of pre-term labor. and so wanted to find out if its only me or others have exp. the same too. It is very comforting to know that someone else has also experienced the same thing. Thanks !

Hi Palak,
Eating both fruits is good for health but you have to be very cautious because banana would put you to gain weight. So better think about that and then there will be no chance of loss of weight.... - Neha [View Message]
