All the recipes are great and at for your son...my son too is 6 and half mnthsand weighs ardnd 6.7kgs.....as long as your baby is healthy and active dont bother too much abt the wt......but here r a few pointers to help increase wt if u wish:-
# give more of mashed potatoesatleast thrice a week
# add llittle bit mre ghee to the rice or dal
# try out oats

And pls dont give any salt to bbay tilll he is atleast 9 mnths old as the babys kidney is still not fully developed.

This is what I give my baby:
1) Raagi (They look like mustard seeds. You can buy them from any grocery store.)
Roast them - grind them (fine powder). Take 1 tsp (increase the quantity later). Boil it in very little water (3/4 tsp) to make a paste of it. Add a lot of milk and cook for sometime.
REMEMBER : Raagi has to cook well and it can be a litttle allergic. So try in small quantities. It is high in iron which is missing in breast milk, so you can try this out.
2) Avoid Tur dal - can cause a lot of gas/ colic in babies. Try Moong (yellow) dal. Soak it for an hr, pressure cook (with little salt/haldi- both optional) and mash it. Should be a very thin paste or watery in texture.
3) Try mashed elaichi banana (Kids love this)
4) Kichadi -
Two flavours - Rice (I use aambe more - small grains with good fragrance). Aadd salt/turmeric if you want to - Kids do not require salt/ sugar till they are 8 mths old.
* Boil rice with carrots
* Boil rice with tomato
* Boil rice with both carrots and tomato
* Boil rice and moong (yellow) dal.
Mash it in a grinder - should be a thick paste (whatever is your childs preference)
5)Cook Apple in a cooker - grind it to make it into a paste.
6) You could just cook carrots and mash them.
7) Sujji/ Rava / Wheat (Aata) - Boil Milk - Add Khaadi sakkar/Sugar. Add pre-roasted rava/Aata to it. Let it cook for sometime. Add Ghee if required.
8) You must try cerelac - with iron.

Try them and let me know if your kid likes them. AND PLEASE SHARE MORE RECEPIES

hi,
try to introduce him mashed carrots.place them in cooker till they are completely cooked.bcos babies at this age cant digest any raw food except mom's milk.if you take rice, roast rice and daal((rice) 1: (daal) 1/2 )and powder them.cook this add salt if he likes and ghee. try to feed him 2-3 TBSp morning and evenings.u better use toordaal for this.dont worry if he does not like this initially. some children are reluctant for new tastes . he will get used to it slowly. all the best.

So my sister’s child is a very fussy eater. She generally makes veggie cheese rolls or sandwiches to get her to eat her vegetables. She tries to use colourful and pretty veggies to get her to eat. Giving smoothies, fruit salads and milkshakes is another appetizing and attractive method.
