I do a lot of cooking, I have to good non-vegetarian for my husband...I love cooking with chicken (since I have become good at it)and he is tired of chicken.

I started purchasing Mutton...

How do I cook Mutton? I have 7 pounds in my freezer individually packed in smaller sections.
What do I do with this meat? I just purchased it yesterday at the meat market by my house.

I think by this time u must have cooked th mutton u brought. ok i've a recipe for u try this
Mutton korma
onions sliced-medium size
onions chopped-1/2cup
coconutgrated-1cup
cashewnutpaste-3tbsp(optional)
saunf-1tsp
greenchillies10-12
garam masala powder
ginger-garlicpaste-1tsp
mutton-2 pounds
tomato cubed-1
1)saute G chillies&sliced onions in oil&grind it to a smooth paste.
2)then make a paste of coconut & saunf
3)now heat oil in a pan and fry chopped onions till goldencolour
then add ginger garlic paste fry for 1mt
then add oniong-chillie paste fry for 1mt. add coconut paste then add cashew paste, salt, turmeric powder ,garammasala pow,1/2cup water
and allow it to cook for 4-5mts on medium.
finally add mutton and tomato and cook till the mutton is done.
better if done in a cooker
garnish with chopped coriander leaves

Recepie for Mutton (Singapore Style)

Hi!I am a sigaporean and quite versatile with chinese cooking.I've tried this and it is good.Altered a bit to suit indian taste.
Soya Sauce Mutton Chop

For gravy:
5 pieces garlic
1 tablespoon light Soya sauce
2 tablespoon dark Soya sauce
50 gram grounded dried chilly
1 tablespoon black pepper powder
1 tablespoon Cooking Oil
5 chillies(small)
3 big onions
2 tablespoon coconut cream
Salt to taste

For Mutton Chop:
1 kg mutton chop
40grams black pepper corns
4 tablespoon gingerly oil
100 gram green chilly - To boil mutton with these ingredients
Cinnamon - To boil mutton with these ingredients
Anis Seed - To boil mutton with these ingredients

Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, chilli paste and fry until you get a nice fragrance. Add in all the sauces and then add the mutton when the gravy has become thick. Then add the chilli, onions, pepper powder. Fry well.

Ready to serve.

Chilli Mutton Chop
½ kg Mutton Chops
1 piece Ginger
1 small patta
2 Lawangam
3 cloves
5 pieces Chilli(small)
3 tablespoon coconut milk

Method:
Add all the items together and put it to cook in a pressure cooker.
