Hi

have a ques. to all moms...maybe moms who already have kids or experience baby sitting would know..what indian spices are not safe for children..any clue? (besides too much chilly of course)
I am aware of hing/haldi/cumin being fine with kids..anything not good for their digestive system..doubt it..still trying to confirm.
Anu will eat indian food with spice provided its loaded with yogurt. we do try to feed when we eat a bit to see her reaction, but not been consistent to know ok this seems fine with her and if u can give tips to feed food with spices great..now only thing that works with her is cereals with yogurt and any indian food..but takes twice as long to feed her.
I don't want her to remain dependent on the cereals/jar food so trying to reduce it eventually. She does eat chunks of food in day care..thats american diet plan for kids..which is fine..though its slow there too..
For moms whose babies are a year old..are u reducing the formula intake and introducing whole milk too?
If someone can help me out..would help a lot.

Congratulation to all October moms. I know it’s too late to say that.
I am also October board. I live in New York, with my husband. I got my baby girl 8th Nov 2003. (Normal delivery)
That time everything is fine, but after 1 day, I am felling very bad chest pain. I got admit in emergency
Then later on they told me you got heart problem (cardiomyopathy), and u have fluid in your lungs,

. We don’t have any family here to help us out. Since then I am on restand very sad.
But I am reading message board everyday; I would say message board is part of my day

Now my baby is 10 month old, we named her Riya.she is too active. She never gives a second to sit. She
Start calling my name when she is 61/2 month old. She start walking with support when she was 7 month old
Now she says daddy, dada nani nana mama, and so many words which I don’t understand.
She got 7 teeth, she stands herself, but she didn’t walk without support. Over all she is fine.

I just wanted to share my story with you guys. Thanks for reading my story

I am not too sure about the spices though.So far i have given him hing,cumin,clove,pepper and also garlic.I dont think any spices shld be bad for them, coz they are almost 1 yr old now, ofcourse green chillies and red chillies shld be used in moderation.
Kaustubh likes to eat our food, but even a lill spicy (chillies)he starts crying, with pepper he is fine.

About the formula, Iam already trying to reduce his intake.Not yet tried whole milk ,I think I will give him within a couple of days.I have given him payasam,Kheer already long time back.He seemed to be ok coz it was just small qty.So got to see now how he reacts.
