Make - Up:I need help with makeup..please help
2006-09-17
Name: Sh Ve

have little bumps and pimple scars on my forehead and putting any foundation on it make them stick out more. I want to know how to hide these with makeup the right way.
Also whenever I do any kind of eye makeup, after sometime the eyeliner and kajal wears off though I use waterproof. They seem to settle under my eye making my dark circles look darker. Can you help me with this too? I am going to a wedding this weekend and want to wear my makeup well to mask my skin shortcomings.

you must visit a dermotologist to find out why you have this acne. next you can start now by using 10 percent benzoyl peroxid on your skin every night and washing with a facial wash of 2 percent salycilic acid. and then moisturizing with non oily moisturizer before applying the skin makeup. as for the eyes, use liquid and try to only line the tops and not the bottoms. when you apply the powder under the eyes after foundation, use a lot of powder over it under the eyes so it catches the eye makeup if it falls. you can check on it evey hour in the bathroom mirror. and dont forget to exfoliate your skin before the big day with a peeling mask!!

wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and once at night and after you wash your face, apply an astringent that has salicylic acid in it with a 100% cotton ball (this will make your makeup go on smoother and look more natural by taking off the dead skin and it will heal your pimples faster). If you are going to use a moisturizer, use an oil-free formula....no creams.....just lotion or gel textures for oily skins.

Dear Sh Ve,

Using foundation to mask bumps and acne is not a good idea. If anything, it would make it stand out more. I would suggest using a concealer that has salicylic acid in it over your pimples (Clinique has one and so does Neutrogena), and using a sheer powder for the rest of your face. A tip: whenever your skin is oily, never use anything with shimmer or glitter because you'll end up looking greasy. Before touching up your powder, blot your face with a piece of toilet paper so that you look as if you have a fresh coat of powder on instead of a mask. You can also use concealer under your eyes. Try to use some of the concealer around your eyes before the eye makeup and then when it's done, dust the area with powder so it will stay. Good luck and have fun at the wedding!

another tip: If you're going to be in pictures, wear berry colors on the lips and blush because the flash in pictures washes people's features out. This was my tip to the brides I did makeovers on.
