Hello Archie,

I have been observing this group silently for few months. I think you are the best one to clear my doubts.

I am 27 year old . My height is 5'4\"; and I weigh 64kgs.
I have history of irregular periods. I get periods once in 2 months or 3 months or sometimes i get it after 30days.
The doctor says, it is fine if I get periods once in 2 or 3 months.

As you see from my weight, I am overweight by 7kgs. I am doing exercises to reduce the weight. But, I think because of heavy exercise I am not getting my periods.

I want to get back to ideal weight before trying for baby. Can you please suggest me some ways so I can reduce weight and also have regular periods.
Do, I need to stop exercise to get regular periods? But, I feel I am very fat and I desperately want to reduce before having baby.

I am sorry for such a long message. But I have put all my confusions and doubts here.

I am not great with weight reduction part, sorry about such answer.
your concern on heavy workout affecting periods seems unreasonable though. I would imagine without activities of gym you may get periods less frequent than normal.
Besides all I think you need a different Dr. who would first try to investigate on possibilities of irregular period. Your cycles are way off the standard gynecological cycles and you may need to get on ovulation inducer provided your spouse bears healthgy fertility.
You could do more of aerobics in gym, kill the calories and also combine with regulated diet that covers all nutrients but in required amounts.

Have you been through thyroid tests? if not then go for it. sometime weight gain and irregular period can be because of hypothyroidism, and is treatable.

Before going for any procedure check the details about the clinic first. check out their website. check their links. Then make their way to there.
