i have seen various posts here regarding PIO Card. i have a couple of questions. i wanna find whats the size of the photos that you guys took when u applied for PIO Card and generally whats the time frame for getting one?

i just looked at the application form for PIO Card and here all it says is send 4 recent passport size photos. whats the exact size of pics they want? cause when i applied for US Visa i was asked for the pics of size 2*2 and when i applied for canadain visa i was asked for 1.5*1.5
so i'm a bit confused abt this. hope someone clears this to me.

Thanks for the prompt reply. i just went out and took pics of my wife and son. regarding my son's pic. he is 11 months old so it was very hard to take his pic and photographer said ppl in embassy are little lenient with kids pics so you shouldn't have any problem

and 2nd thing that guy didnt cut the pic to 35 X 45 size. he said guys in embassy will cut it to right size themselves. i found this strange. is that true.

sorry for asking so many question. Actually we have little time left to plan our trip and i dont wanna mess anything related to visa.

Hi,

I agree, it's very strange to have said that the embassy guys would cut to the desired size. I can't help but laugh. You should definitely go to a different photographer. I am not sure where you live, try Sears, JC Penney or Picture People or some well known place, or you can ask your friends who live there.

As for taking babies pictures, in some places they make the baby sleep on a white blanket. They somehow distract them and click within no time.

I would say you should definitely send the right sized pictures. Do send all the documents & photos based on the instructions on the website, this may avoid your application being rejected due to a small error.
