I am new to this forum firstly because this is the first time me and my hubby have agreed on TTC and this is my first attempt at trying to concieve my first baby too.

I turn 30 in august, and we decided to start ttc from july i have started taking over the counter pre natals and have an ob/gyn appointment on 28th to have a general ob/gyn appointment. i have a pretty regular 30-33 day cycle. however in the last 3-4 months i am trying very hard to find out when i am ovulating and am failing miseribly. i was on the pill for over 2 and a half yrs and quit the pill in nov 2005.(while on the pill i had a 28 day cycle) but since i stopped, i have some white discharge some time in the middle of the cycle.. but every month it varies.. am i coming to the wrong conclusion about this white discharge being the time of my ovulation?

Since i am only going to start ttc in july i dont want to stress myself out if i dont get pregnant the first month round.. but sub conciously i also know i will be a little dissapointed if it didnt manage it the first month.. any clue on whether i should calculate based on the white discharge.. or should i just buy the ovulation kit.. (even if its just the first month) and do it accordigly :)

Truth is this, for your age it may take as long as a year to get pregnant. So don't get dishearted if you fail to conceive in few cycles.
you can plan intercourse between CD12 to CD18 and you should be fine even without OPK unless your cycles are shorter or longer than 30-33 days.
