i have consulting a doctor for conception. she gave me letrpozole for many cycles so that i shd ovulute and conceive i even went for follicle monitoring for 8-12 months but nothing happened. my doc kept on giving me higher doses of letrozole and progesterone but all in vain. Despite all this my menses starting getting delayed. i was very frustrated so consulted Dr. for second opinion, she asked me to go for endometrial biopsy torule out TB of Uterus. the test has come out to be positive. i am suppose to undergo treatment for 6 months. will i be able to conceive after treatment(Tablates AKT - 2) and how long it takes to conceive after this treatment. i am really anxious as i am already 28 yeras of age. please advise and help. AK replied. TB mostly damages Falopian tubes by blocking them. So eggs released each month can not travel down from Ovary to Uterous & Semen also can not move up from Vagina-Uterous area to falopian tubes.If openness of tubes has not been checked by HSG, get it done immediately..costs about 2000.If your tubes are blocked, test will be little painful.Sometimes minor blocks are removed by the dye forced into falopians during HSG. If your tubes are OK & Uterous is OK after ATT is over, you should be able to cocieve naturally.But if tubes are blocked,best option is to go for IVF.Tubes can be opened,but success is low.Doctors sometime suggest that HSG can not be done before ATT is over... but this causes wastage of time. Since, you have already started medicines, chances of spreading of TB via HSG liquid is very less.You should act before your eggs run out...already many has been released by the fertility drugs.
