Dear All,

I have a 3 year old son and we live in Canada. Physically I am fine and can have kids. But I don't want to. I always had a dream of adopting a baby. Now that I have experienced the motherhood, I want to adopt a baby girl from India.

And my husband is fine with my decisoins. Can somebody please share your experiences. I heard that it is very expensive and takes lots of time to adopt a baby. Is this true ??? Please help. I am genuinly looking forward to have a baby girl... Till now I always got a discouraging answer. I was told that, if you have a baby, then you are chances of adoption is not possible. And to hire a lawyer you have to spend thousands of dollars (around $20000)

Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated.

Hi RR,

It's good if you are living in India. Atleast if you prefer, the process would be much easier. All my relatives discouraged from this idea. They keep saying that it will create a difference between the 2 kids. I am not sure how far this is true, but I feel that, when you are doing the best thing, even god will help you. I don't know, this my thinking...

I am in India. Just wanted to know if anyone who has one biological child and one adopted faces any problems. This is very big decision and i dont want it to make either of the child's life unhappy.
