Hi Meghnah

Your note struck a cord with me because I always seem to eat sweet things (especially ice creams). Just last week,I went to the convenience store just to buy ice cream!Plus, my friend just let know of this nice ice-cream parlour in the vicinity.Yummy!

I definitely didn' t know about the ice-cream from the machines.But, if you live in India,stay away from the colour golas(you know which ones, right).

Of course, don' t over-indulge.The extra pounds will be very difficult to burn off.

Enjoy the ice creams!

Sandhya

1.Avoid soft-whip ice cream from machines

2. Ice cream

It’s okay to eat:

* Packaged ice cream
* Ice lollies kept in a freezer

It’s best to avoid:

* Soft, whipped ice cream sold from vans or kiosks

Why?

* Risk of salmonella or other bacteria

3. Mayonnaise, ice cream, salad dressing – as long as they haven’t been made using raw egg. Generally, mayonnaise, ice cream and salad dressing you buy in shops will have been made with pasteurised egg, which means it’s safe to eat. But it’s better to avoid home-made versions if they contain raw egg. If you' re not sure about any of these foods when you' re eating out, ask staff for more information

{anyway.. i don' t think indian ice creams contain egg}

4. and it also said somewhere that women who ate chocolates and ice creams during pregnancy had happier babies :-) { dunno if it' s true.. but a great thought}

so go and get yourself some ice cream.. and eat an extra one for me.. i have to wait a week for that :-)

love
ira

hey megs...
i am not really an expert on this... but a freind once tols me.. that she could' nt drink milk during her pregnancy, and her doctor told her that it is ok if she just eats ice creams.. and she ate ice creams throughout her pregnancy!

anyway.. if you get a good brand... which is safe and pre packed.. it should be safe enough!

:-( i am craving everything rt now.... and am supposed to keep away from dairy products... ice cream... yummy...
