Hi,
I had visited a gr8 place for tricking along with my friends and family members a place called Ahobilam is located in Karnool district of Andhra Pradesh in the hills of the Eastern Ghats, about 400 KM northwest of Chennai. The temple consists of nine shrines to Lord Nrisimha located around a 5 KM circle. In addition to the nine shrines, there is a temple for Prahaladavarada Varadhan in the foothills of the mountain. Due to security reasons and the difficulty in performing daily worship, many of the utsava vigrahas of the nine shrines are kept in this temple.
Garuda wished for a vision of Lord Nrisimha in the form of the Avathara. To fulfill his wish, the Lord settled in the hills around Ahobilam in the midst of dense forests in nine different forms. For this reason this hill came to be known as Garudadri, Garudachalam, and Garudasailam.
Ahobilam is the place where the Lord killed Hiranyakasipu and saved Prahalada. Mahalakshmi took avathar as Senjulakshmi among the Senju, tribal hunters of the hills, and married the Lord.
Sri Ahobila Mutham, one of the most important Sri Vaishnava religious institutions in India, was established by Sri Athivan Satakopan at the instructions of Lord Lakshmi Nrisimha of Ahobilam. In fact, the utsava moorthy of the Malola Nrisimha temple, one of the nine shrines of Ahobilam, is the presiding deity of Sri Ahobila Mutham. Sri Malolan accompanies Srimad Azhagiya Singar, the spiritual and titular head of Sri Ahobila Mutham, on his travels.
My friend is a regular visitor to this place. This time when he went their I am also accompanied him along with family we felt from Bangalore on Friday night around 8:30 by car and reached their by the next day morning around 5:15 am he had made arrangements for the guest house and we went their boarded the roam and took rest for a hr or so and got freshed up went for out at round 8:30 or so there I was socked to see so many people with bald head young guys girls old people and many other getting their head shaved I was very happy seeing that I asked my friend to take me and my family members to the kalyanakata which is name kept her also for head shave…which is on the hill top which is called as Upper Ahobilam. My wife who had a hairs till the shoulders she was ready to have a shave my kids and me and from my friends family his wife kids he and his mother we were all ready my wife and myself were very very happy seeing people getting shaved we all entered the roam their we saw a teenage girls who mite be around 17 to 19 yrs old she had a very long hair almost till her hip she was arguing with her parents for getting herself shaved from her family her father mother 3brother had a shave so even she wanted to have a shave she requested her mother and got her head shave after shave also she was look very beautiful she became my wife and my friends wife’s friend then my wife and friends wife sate together one besides the other the barber pour some water on their heads and massaged their hairs and divided into two buns then he took the bald cleaned it and changed the blade and bent their heads down fully then the main event started took the blade near the hairs and started the shave from the front side then turned the head to the right cleanly shaved then to the left and shaved their also and then the final touch was given once again then they got up with their hands on their head and very happy to have a smooth and a lovely shave then me and my friend sate the same was done he pour water and massaged the hairs and he changed the blade and started the shave and was completed within 5mins for both of us and then I made my kids site on my lap one after the other and their shave was also completed the same with my friends kids also. Then we all came out of the kalyanakata and we all were very happy to see each other with the shaved head then we all had bath and went to the temple their that girl along with her family meat us in the temple and smiled at us and told my wife that I also request god to get a family and a husband of the same interest and then we all together had breakfast and then went to the beep forest for the tricking…
