Due Date Club July 2005:no time at all

Hi all you stay-at-home moms,

we, the SAHMs are supposed to have enuff time to take care of the baby as well as the house, but I never seem to have time even to write a mssg out here except when Anushka is sleeping. She is constantly seeking attention and wants me to play with her all the time, or atleast be in the same room as hers.

Are any of you facing the same problem? Hats off to the working moms!!!!!

Regards,
Sheetal

i agree with bhairavi.its very true. staying home 24x7 and taking care of baby is tiring. when we go out a while atleast we get a change with things around..at home its kind of tirring,,,yeah we feel good that we are with kids all the time,,but still i experienced that when all of sudden i was told to sit home and take rest by my doc.
things are better in takin care of nirja, i have to say, all neighbours around having their kids around,,someone or the other often drops by or will keep their kid at my place or i will do the same,,if we want to go out for a while for ne express shopping or sometimes in saloon. even if thre are more than a couple kids playing at my place,,,all are busy playing eachother, unless they end up snatching eachothers toys :))
also if they are playing nicely i grab a small nap in the same room where they are playing....
so its better,i badly need rest now..
when i was in kansas,i was hardly able to get any rest.just like what mentioned by sheetal and priti.its tough that way..

sheetal, hows anuska doing, its been a while we talked...my love to her.
take care,
hetal

I agree with you Sheetal.. I think being a Stay at Home Mom is a very demanding job. Physically, its very tiring; Mentally, its overwhelming sometimes.. Its very difficult to play the role of a mother and wife all the time.. I mean, you do need some time for yourself too.. and that is something that we SAHM dont get.. At the same time, our kids are definitely more demanding when they see us around, and you cant ignore them too.. I think, the only time I get rest is when I sleep..:)

But at the same time, it has its bonuses also... dont u think? I wudnt trade anything in this world for the childhood of my baby. I am able to enjoy each and every moment of it, and I just love it..:). Just wondering, from next year, after I get my H1 sponsored and start working, how will I cope with the separation from my baby.:(

take care,
Bhairavi.

Hi Preeti,

oh yes, if i m on the computer, she'll want to be on the desk in front of the screen. Then she'll keep switching the screen off, wants to bang on the keyboard, roll the mouse, etc. If i m in the kitchen, she'll come and push my legs since she doesnt want me to be in the kitchen. Or else, she wants to watch i m doing up on the counter. Gosh!!! when she sleeps, those are the most precious moments i get. I shower, cook, and finish off watever i want to. Even now, she is in the tub and playing with her toys, and thats how i got some time to quickly write in a mssg.

Regards,
Sheetal

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
