I like the combination of cumin and mustard seed flavour as a seasoning for rice. Chopped onion, mustard seeds, cumin seed and a pinch of turmeric powder always goes well with leftover rice. It is yummy especially when you eat it on empty stomach. It tastes even better when a little garam masala is added to the recipe. It is often referred as Masala rice that is spiced rice by most of the Indians. This type of spiced rice is loved by my family. Spices can add taste to any kind of food stuff in this world. I can not imagine food without spices.

Powdered black pepper and salt mixed with boiled water is good for drinking when suffering from soar throat. I always use this for drinking when I suffer from soar throat. It is a good home remedy for coping with soar throat. Even ginger is better for soar throat. One of the best Indian spices is turmeric. I think that most of the people in India use turmeric as a home remedy for most of the disorders. It is used for getting fairer skin. All the women in my family drink milk with a pinch of turmeric powder. They say that it is good for healthier skin.

Subject:  my cough is cleared by using ginger and honey



Ginger is a very effective spice for cold and cough. I used the mixture of ginger juice and honey. I used it three times and was relived from cough and cold. Using crushed ginger in tea is also an effective measure for coping with cold and cough. I have not tried any other spice for specifically coping with cold. But I find clove and cinnamon would be a better option like ginger. Using spices for curing cough and cold is an effective measure to avoid doctor. Spices are good for coping with small allergies. Even a pinch of turmeric is effective for cold.
