yday my doc tried to do pelvic exam, but i wasnt able to relax my muscles. they r frightening me that if i continue to do like that, they have to do c-section for me.

during my first visit to the doctor, he tried to pap smear test, which was not complete because of my behaviour. what to do, i feel embrassed when they do and my muscles automatically contracts. they say there is nothing in ur body but u must relax ur mind. i tried but in vain. do help me. am really frightened abt c-section. me replied. I also have the same problem...i cant relax...lot of girls cant...next time ask ur dr to give u some time...it helps to a certain extent. take care.

Well, i guess it happens with many people.I go to a lady doctor,During my first visit , when she was doing internal exam and papsmear , i too didn't relax my muscles initially.I guess it was automatic reaction , but then i tried to take deep breath and then i was Ok.Samething happenned when she did vaginal ultrasound in my 8thweek.I didn't relax initially , it took me few moment to take deep breath and then i was totally relaxed.
But i strongly feel your doctor shouldn't frighten u of C-section, he should help u to relax.When they do examination, try to think of your baby , don't go with a preset mind that u cannot relax during examination.Tell yourself that you are totally relaxed and take deep breath as soon as u feel tension.I hope this helps you.
