Days of menstrual cycle has reduced from five to three. What can be the reason behind that?

When I was in my teens, I was just like
you. My cycle usually last between 5-7
days. This have been going on through-out
my 6th grade and the cycle was shorten,
right after I got married.

After marraige........my cycle last
between 2-4 days. But, I have really
bad cramps the first day of the cycle.

I went to see my O.B.G.Y.N. and he said
that everything is fine. He even did
a test and it came back normal.

so.......Don't stress too much about
this, You are not alone. verne replied. we are having menstruation disorders in class right now! and i can tell you there are more than 20 different disorders. 3-5 is totally normal. The reasons for the decrease of days could be dieting, stress, climate, nutrition, perhaps infections, or hormonal reasons. But unless you feel too much pain and discomfirt, or find abnormal discharges, there is no reason to fear.
If you have some abnormal symptoms, report to your gynec immediately, because the later the diagnosis, the harder and complicated and longer the treatment goes. Sanam replied. I think it is fine, as long as your periods are regular and no unusual clots or pain. Sometimes hormonal changes in the body lead to this. Medically, they say if you bleed for 24 hours and then it stops it is considered a regular menstrual cycle.

If you are concerned then just make an appointment to see your family doctor or gynac and ask him/her.
